They did it! Team Whistler finished their run at 11.56pm, managing to break four hours by two minutes despite the horrendous conditions on the mountain. They have won the race in a total time of three days eight hours 41 minutes and seven seconds with daylight second as the next boats are not yet at Constitution Dock.
Pies and beer, the recovery foods of choice, are now being consumed while the race highlights are re-lived, probably not for the first time.
Tomorrow marks eight weeks until they head to Britain.

Congratulations to Team Whistler on behalf of all the web audience that have been following your progress with great excitement. You have creamed a very tough event and, with your high level of preparation, will be excellent representatives of Tasmania in the UK Three Peaks Race.
