Dean and David finished the race for Elphinstone at 2.39pm. Chance has finally reached the Iron Pot and expects to be in Hobart at 5pm.
The trophies are out for engraving and Alastair is currently working out the prize-getters.
Hobart race control is being cleaned up and packed away and the sailors - or those who aren't reclining with a few beverages - are finishing packing up their boats.
Life is returning to some sense of normality with another Peaks (almost) behind us.
Everyone is looking forward to the post-race brag and of course next Saturday's presentation dinner at Elwick race-course, when all the competitors will be recognised for what they have achieved in the last few days.
A certain hard-core Peaks runner who finished in the early hours of this morning just completed another run - just a 7km cool down!

Elphinstone Weigh To Go runners David Sweetman and Dean Radford left race control at 11.16. Chance passed Dunalley at 12.30.

Chance is motoring through the Mercury Passage but won't be able to go through Dunalley until high tide at about 4pm. So it will probably arrive in Hobart about 9pm tonight... at which time everyone else will probably be finishing up the post-race brag!

No sign of Chance at Dunalley... and no radio contact from Elphinstone to say whether they've reached the Iron Pot.
Premium Constructions' Aub Henricks and Doug Grubert put in a good run of two hours 46 minutes to finish at 7.58am and Apollonius finished at 9.11am.

The 21st Hydro Tasmania Three Peaks Race has all but wrapped up, with most of the runners getting back in a big rush in this morning's wee hours. Apollonius is the only team on the mountain and at sea we have Elphinstone in Frederick Henry Bay and Chance, still north of Maria Island, drawing out the finish.

Apollonius' Brendan Davies and John Cannell left for the top of Mt Wellington all rugged up at 5.49am. Luckily it is only going to get warmer and lighter for them.

I don't envy those guys running up the mountain. The BOM says it's 3 degrees outside in Hobart, but it feels like -10. It is actually -6 degrees on the mountain and blowing about 30 knots - YUCK!

Peccadillo returned to Hobart at 5.11, posting another strong run of two hours 41 minutes.

Premium Constructions' Doug Grubert and Aubrey Hendricks performed a strip show - no I mean checked in - at 5.07am.

Tristan and Johnno got back to Hobart at 4.47 after running an impressive three hours 17 minutes, which they are very happy with. In fact it's a PB for Johnno.
They are now enjoying a well earned beer.
Tristan's old shoes apparently worked better than the new ones which caused the injury to his foot... but I think it was the Bundy shirt that did it.
Tristan is stoked to be the first Gourlay to complete all three runs - his dad Ken has done Freycinet and Wellington and his cousin Rob (Tas Marine Construction skipper) has done Wellington twice. So he has set the bar a bit higher for up and coming Gourlays!

Apollonius has passed John Garrow Light.

Pisces runners Tony Fattorini and Phil Whitten returned to race control to finish the race at 2.57 (running 2hours53min), placing David Taylor's team second monohull and fourth overall.
BWR Multihulls got back at 3.18(running2hr56min) making them the third racing multihull. Bruce will be happy as they finished fourth last year.
Sullivans Cove Whisky got back at 3.26 after a 3hour20min run to finish second fully-crewed, third mono and sixth overall;
Team Whistler finally made it back at 3.38 after runnint 4hours7minutes.
Peccadillo went onto the mountain at 2.30 and summitted at 4.08.
Haphazard summitted at 3.25 and should be back any minute.
Premium Constructions is about to arrive in Hobart and Apollonius is near John Garrow Light.
Elphinstone went through the Denison Canal at 4.20am.

What are you laughing for you goose? It's 1.30am and you're about to run up a mountain!
20 seconds... to freezing point? No, to your start time boys...
Johnno and Tristan set off at 1.29am, aiming to go under four hours (eight for Flinders, six for Frecyinet, four for Wellington). Tristan requested panadol for his injured foot at the summit.
Haphazard and Peccadillo had been sailing along together for much of the afternoon but the boys reported leaving the cat wallowing in a windless hole off John Garrow Light.

Haphazard is at John Garrow Light and expects to be in Hobart in half an hour.

The runners wait while Don counts down to their start time

BWR Multihulls' Ian Frankze and John Kent set off for the summit at 12.22am making it a three-way chase up the mountain.

Pisces and Sullivans Cove Whisky's runners arrived within 90 seconds of each other so will have a great battle up and down Mt Wellington. Hopefully Pisces' Tony Fattorini and Phil Whitten don't get lost as they went up Macquarie St not Davey St. That pair arrived at race control at at midnight with SCW in hot pursuit. Pisces have run faster than SCW's Andrew Howse and Adrian Young on both mountains so far so we will see if they can maintain or extend the small lead they have.
